Cat haiku #12 Kitten roar

Nova’s birthday haikus are over! To help you deal with your sadness, here’s one about a kitten.

…it’s actually inspired by Jazz. He’s one and a half, and weighs 6 kg. Clearly not a kitten.

But Jazz is a roarer. He’s always roared at his big brother in play. It’s so weird but adorable. I love how all cats have voices unique to their crazy personalities.

Cat haiku #11 Cats, cakes and candles

This is the final haiku honouring Nova turning five. I loved the Creative Commons pictures I found for this so much that I just had to make two versions. I love all these ‘old timey’ style pictures of cats and kittens.

If you missed any of the haikus for Nova’s birthday you can find them here.

Cat haiku #9 Cat years

Nova, Mr Mouseface, turned the big 5 yesterday. In his honour, Will has written a series of haikus for him. How adorable is that?! ❤

In cat years that means Nova is now 36, almost as old as Daddy… Cat years is the subject of this haiku, which should suitably confuse you as it did me. Decrypted it’s referring to the fact that the first two years of a cats life make them 25, but after that, they only age by four ‘years’ ever actual year… weird huh?

Cat haiku #8 A smart working strategy

Today’s cat haiku is not written by the cat dad. Why I hear you ask? Will has to work today because we’ve been looking at flats this week.

This haiku is by Rohini Gupta from her eBook whiskers and purrs: A book of cat haiku
If you like it, share the love. Her book is available on Kindle on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk for about $2/£2, just follow the links.

The title is the response to the Daily Post daily prompt: Strategy

Cat haiku #4 Cat pride

Runa is a cat who is terrible at using the litter tray. She thinks the plastic sides of the tray are litter. She has horrendous aim. And if she doesn’t like the look of one of their five litter trays, she pees on the floor. We love you Runa.

Cat haiku #3 Kitten love

This lovely haiku is also dedicated to Jazz. The other three must be feeling left out by now?!

This time it’s about the pain of kitten love!
